Portable Storage Container FAQs

You have questions before you rent a container. We have answers. Below you will find what homeowners, contractors, and business owners ask us most often. If you do not see your question, call (800) 841-8997 or request a free quote.

Pricing and Quotes

Pricing depends on three things. Container size, how long you rent, and how far we deliver from Clintondale. A 16-foot residential unit costs less than a 40-foot commercial container. Longer rentals lower your monthly rate. Call us or request a free quote and we will give you a flat number, no surprises.

Container Sizes and Specs

We rent three sizes for storage. A 16-foot residential container, a 20-foot commercial container, and a 40-foot commercial container. For office space we rent a 20-foot office container and a 40-foot combo unit with 17 feet of office and 22 feet of attached storage. See our full storage container lineup and office container options.

Delivery and Site Prep

We deliver across the Hudson Valley in 24 to 72 hours when units are in stock. Same-day delivery is sometimes possible if you call before 10 a.m. on a weekday. Construction jobs and last-minute moves should book at least two business days ahead during peak season from April through October.

Rental Terms

Residential rentals run on a 2-month minimum. Commercial and construction rentals work on a flexible monthly term, with no minimum past the first month. Long-term contracts get a discount. Ask about our 6-month and 12-month rates.

Permits and Local Rules

Most Hudson Valley towns let you place a container on private property for up to 60 days without a permit. Active construction projects usually allow 180 days with a building permit on file. Rules vary by township. Plattekill, Marbletown, Lloyd, Newburgh, and Kingston each have their own ordinances. Check with your town clerk before placement, or call us and we can point you to the right office.

Security, Weather, and Contents

Yes. Every container we rent is wind and water tight, with steel walls, a weather-sealed roof, and gasketed cargo doors. Hudson Valley winters and Nor'easters do not faze them. We inspect each unit before delivery and replace any seal that shows wear.

Use Cases

Yes. We rent to homeowners across the Hudson Valley for exactly these reasons. Our residential mobile storage page covers moves, home renovation storage, furniture storage, and college student storage. Drop the container in your driveway, pack on your schedule, and we pick it up when you are done.

Portable Office Containers

Our 20-foot office container comes with a sealed entry door, four windows, interior lighting, heat, and air conditioning. The 40-foot combo unit adds 22 feet of secure storage behind the office wall. Both are jobsite-ready as soon as power is connected.
